Eaton Names Revathi Advaithi President for Electrical Sector’s Asia Pacific Region.

PUNE … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that Revathi Advaithi has been named president, Asia Pacific Region – Electrical Sector, effective July 1, 2009. Advaithi replaces Kevin McLean, who is being named senior vice president, marketing for the sector.

“As our new Asia Pacific leader, Revathi brings cultural understanding, knowledge of the Asia Pacific business environment and dynamic leadership to these high growth markets,” said Thomas S. Gross, Eaton vice chairman and chief operating officer – Electrical Sector. “Since rejoining Eaton as the vice president and general manager for the Electrical Components Division, she has consistently shown great skill in working across our operations. I am confident that she will advance our growth initiatives in every country of the region.” |

Gross praised McLean’s accomplishments in heading the region. “Kevin has crafted a solid infrastructure across our Asia Pacific operations while also moving forward the Moeller and Phoenixtec acquisition integrations, “ Gross said. “His industry knowledge and commercial understanding have provided us leverage with key accounts and customers. Our market presence has grown significantly during his assignment as the Asia Pacific leader for the electrical business and we wish him success in his new role.” |

Advaithi first joined Eaton in 1995 in the Global Leadership Development Program as a manufacturing supervisor at the hydraulics facility in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She then held several operational and quality roles before taking an international assignment as plant manager for an Eaton hydraulics facility in Havant, England. Advaithi left Eaton in 2002 to join Honeywell where she held several senior roles, and she returned to Eaton in 2006. Advaithi has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India, and master of business administration in international business from Thunderbird Garvin School of International Business in Glendale, Arizona. |
