PUNE … … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation named Shyam Kambeyanda managing director for India operations, effective November 1. Kambeyanda will report to James McGill, Eaton vice president – Asia/Pacific and will be located at Eaton’s India headquarters in Pune. In this role, Kambeyanda will be responsible for developing strategies that build Eaton's overall presence in India.

 

Deidrea Walters has been named director, Human Resources, for India and will report to Kambeyanda. Walters will be responsible for the overall human resources function in India.

Kambeyanda joined Eaton in 1995 in the Automotive Group and has since held various positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, quality, e-commerce, product strategy and operations management in the U.S., Mexico, Europe and Asia. Most recently, he was general manager, Engine Air Management Operations (EAMO) – Asia, based in Shanghai, China. Kambeyanda holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and general science from Coe College in Iowa, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois.

 

Walters has held roles of increasing responsibility in human resources and talent development since joining Eaton in 1996. Prior to joining Eaton, she held various HR roles with British Petroleum. Walters has a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Kent State University and a master’s in business administration from Lake Erie College, both in Ohio.
